30th Apr 2019 - 30th Apr 2019
Venue : Human Anatomy Lab, Level G, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia
Time : 09:30AM - 17:00PM
The purpose of this workshop is to provide students and researchers in the field of biomedical sciences with fundamental biochemical techniques using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Participants can learn basic quantification techniques through this workshop. The workshop consists of lectures addressing the key principles as well as practical sessions enabling participants to gain hands-on experience to learn the techniques. Students and early carrier researchers are the primary audiences but experienced researchers who are not familiar with ELISA can also learn new techniques that will be useful for their on-going research projects.
The intensive workshop is specifically designed to address
The principle of ELISA
Applications of ELISA
Critical factors in selecting suitable ELISA kit
Essential laboratory environment to run ELISA assay
Hands-on laboratory experiences using ELISA kit, multi-channel pipette, microtitre plate washer, microtire plate reader, sample preparation using homogenizer and working in 96-well plate format
Design and concept of 96-well plate layout for standards and samples
Multiplex beads based technology for multiple protein detections
Master/Ph.D. Students, Scientists
Research Assistants, Technical Officers
