COVID-19 Screening Tests are FREE for 1st Time Returning Malaysian Students.

Senior Defense Minister Ismail Sabri has just announced today, 29 JUNE 2020, that Malaysians under the following categories who are returning home for the first time, will be granted FREE COVID-19 screening tests.

i. Students

ii. Civil Servants

iii. Disabled

Disabled passengers will have to produce their disability card from the Welfare Dept to authorities.

As for students returning home for the first time since the MCO started, they will have to show evidence that they are still students (expired student cards isn't allowed) in order to be eligible for the free screening tests.

For those under the said categories who have returned to the country and paid for the screening tests before this announcement was made, you are able to file claims with the Health Ministry, as stated in Ismail Sabri's announcement earlier.

"Because the decision was only made this morning, those who had already paid for their screening tests are allowed to file claims with the Health Ministry.”
