What once used to an important part of car safety has gone down the drain over the last few years, with any backseat passengers thinking that the simplest rule of wearing the seat belt only applies to the driver and maybe even the front seat passenger.
So in effort to improving Malaysia towards being a brighter (..and safer) nation in 2020, Minister of Transport Anthony Loke has implemented a new ruling that beginning this year, all who sit at the back MUST wear the seat belts or face the penalty of being fined RM300.
For once, I agree. There's been enough deaths by road accidents happening.
Youths aged 17 years old and over will be penalized if caught by law enforcers while youngsters under 17, the driver will be charged instead.
So save everyone the hassle and just strap up yo!
You don't want this to happen to you right?
With Chinese New Year coming up real soon, I'm predicting a whole lotta roadblocks ahead -- so always be safe and just buckle up.
Only the Wise will Save their Lives.
