In general, Malaysians are actually really kind and we tend to help out one another especially in times of need. Regardless wether it's just a friend who needs to borrow a bit of cash, or a stranger who's lost -- we are usually ready to lend a hand.
Unfortunately, there are people in this world who would take advantage of others' kindness, manipulating for their own gain.
Recently, there's been a report of a man who's been going around social media posting videos and pictures of children with chronic illnesses in order to raise "awareness" and "aid" said children.
Of course, that'd been really great -- if it was really for the intent of helping. Unfortunately, the man who goes by the name of 'Saifudin' has been preying on people's kindness and uploading all these for his own gain. But thanks to our abang police over at Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department, they've since taken him into custody for investigation.
Deputy Director, Saiful Azly Kamaruddin gave a statement and reported that the man was arrested at his home in Segambut on the afternoon of December 19th, and will be investigated under Section 6 of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 15 (1) (a) of the same Act before. He also mentioned that they are looking for two more individuals who will be able to assist in investigations.
If anyone has any information what's so ever that could help our authorities with this case, you can contact the investigating officer, Inspector Syarifah Asiah Syed Husin or Inspector Razmil Razak, at 013-9063634 and 012-7150785.
Let's all be a bit more wary on things we see online!
